Blood versus Water Cast Assessment

Okay, readers of my blog, this is my assessment of the cast of the upcoming season. I'm not sure if this is the type of thing I'll ever do again. I know with returning players, I'd always list a brief summary of their time on the game the first time and any other times they might have played. But I'm not certain I'll do predictions again. There are rumors that RC was supposed to be on the season but was replaced at the last minute because of a family sickness. It's possible that it was her planned partner for the game that couldn't play. The fact that Colton is returning means that I can't include him on my list of returning medically evacuated players anymore unless he has the misfortune of being medically evacuated again during this season. He has a second chance like James did. I'm not certain if the medically evacuated players should be by age they are or by position in the game. If it is position in the game, the new list is Erik, Bruce, and Joe (post merge medical evacuations), Shamar, Dana (in my mind she was medically evacuated and will always be on lists like these), and Gary (around episodes 4-5 they were pulled), and the last ones left are Kourtney and Mike (pulled from the game very early into the season in the first or second episode). If it is by age, I'd go with Gary, Bruce, and Mike (the oldest to be medically evacuated), Erik, Kourtney, and Dana (the younger ones pulled from the game who just happened to be taken from three seasons in a row), as well as Joe and Shamar (the only two left). I think that I will stick with the first group for now since it is arguably fairer for the returning players in my mind to have been taken from the game at around the same point.

But as I was saying, I will talk about the returning players for this upcoming season. Also, if I joking refer to someone as the winner, that means that the wikipedia page, which does not allow spoilers, has this person as either alphabetically last in the contestant list by last name or alphabetically first in the voting list by first name. That is by per happenstance when you look at the page. Looks like Tina or Aras wins again according to them and Vytas or Tyson is the first one out of the game. Redemption Island is back and there are new twists along with it such as replacing a loved one on it which rumor has it that at least one person will. It also make the unfair two don't get to play twist better since the two people aren't necessarily out of the game. I'd imagine that the returning player screwed by that twist will feel better about it than the new player will be. Redemption Island will probably be more interesting with more returning players going there. Also, the filming for the 28th season recently wrapped (I think) and should have all new players. Hopefully, there are no other season long twists that prevent it from being a "normal" season. But I have heard rumors of returning players on the 28th season, I don't know how true they are. If the rumors are true, there will be three tribes. But I always here conflicting information regarding spoilers (even from the same source) and am thus not looking any up anymore, if I can help it.

Rupert, Gervase, Aras, Colton, Tyson, Tina, Kat, Laura, Candice, and Monica are the returning players. Rupert is my favorite contestant of all time and takes away Boston Rob's record of only four time contestant. He's the lovable pirate from the Pearl Islands that some people hate for some odd reason. I am not one of them. Gervase was on the very first season and was not on All Stars. This means he now breaks Michael Skupin's record of longest gap between seasons. (Sorry, Michael, but that record was probably going to be broken eventually. You still have others, right?) Aras was the winner of the twelfth season and the only contestant who came close to a day 39 medical evacuation. He had more votes cast against him than any other winner. His return means that La Mina is the only tribe from that season which hasn't had a returning player. It probably will when they finally decide to bring back Terry. Who could forget Colton from One World? He was the biggest villain in Survivor history. Some may argue that Russell Hantz deserves that honor. Well, he does not. Colton was controlling a lot of the game due to his hidden immunity idol that he still has and become the first player to convince his tribe to give up their tribal immunity idol for no reward of any kind. His time was cut short by a medical evacuation, but I imagine things will be different for him this time. He didn't make the merge, but I figured that he'd be back at least once. Tyson was originally in Tocantins before making an infamous dumb move in the 20th season (but not the worst move of the season). His return means that Randy is the only male villain from season 20 that hasn't returned to a new season yet.

Since some of the female players from past seasons have the same first name, I will be sure to point out which one I'm talking about. Tina was the winner of the second season. She is the only winner to play 42 days the first time since the second season is the only season until this one to last more than the standard 39 days. She is also the only winner to be the first voted out the second time she played. Kat was the crazy person from One World who was very emotional after she was blindsided from the game. She is the only One World contestant on this season to make the jury. She might have been chosen due to her boyfriend being a Big Brother winner. All these contestants from One World make me think that there could be an alliance between them. Same season alliances could be a common occurrence now that Dawn and John showed how successful one can be. This also makes me wonder if not having any players from the same season could lead to a different alliance. Anyways, I should get back to the contestants. Monica is also a contestant from One World (at least this Monica was). She was screwed by Colton and a tribal swap and the only player on this list besides Colton who didn't make the merge. She might only be chosen because of her famous husband also playing with her. Laura Morett is from Samoa. She is best remembered for her heated rivalry with Shambo and lost to a tiebreaker revote. This means that Samoa finally has a returning player who is female and not named Russell. Candice was on Cook Islands when she mutinied and was brought back as a hero who became a villain on the twentieth season. I'm not too thrilled about her returning, but she isn't the worst player on this list (cough, Colton, cough).

The new players are in fact on a separate tribe than the returnees. One wonders if this means there will be a tribe swap or if they wouldn't do something like that considering how the new rules of Redemption Island could negate the reason for tribe swaps. Caleb (Colton's finance) will probably be targeted due to his controversial partner. We have yet to see if that will happen or not. Vytas (Aras's brother) could be targeted for being related to a winner, but could last much longer since he does not have a win under his belt. Laura Boneham (Rupert's wife) is related to a four time player, but that doesn't mean she could be targeted just for that reason. I think that she could do well, especially considering Redemption Island and the new rules it has. John (Candice's husband) got married to Candice after the filming of Heroes Versus Villains was over but before that season aired. It would have been during it, but she had to change the date of the wedding in order to appear on the show. I'm not certain he'd make it far or want to make it far. Is he cut out for a game like this? Hayden (Kat's boyfriend) was previously recruited for a Survivor season and was replaced with someone else for reasons unknown. I wasn't into Big Brother at the time (and even now I'm more of a passive fan, if such a term exists) so I don't know much about him winning the season of Big Brother he was on. I'd imagine that he could make it far, although he could also be targeted if anybody recognizes him. His return to the game inspires a future blog post I hope you'll see. Katie (Tina's daughter) could also be targeted for simply being related to a winner. I hope the best for her in the game since Tina was one of my more favorite winners. Brad (Monica's famous football playing husband) might be in the game simply because he's a sports player that Survivor likes to have lately. That could mean he might not last long since he is more likely than others to be known for being like this. Ciera (Laura Morett's daughter) is hopefully a good person and I really don't want her getting into fights with someone like Laura did. To be fair to Laura, they were Shambo's fault, if I remember correctly. Rachel (Tyson's longtime girlfriend) is probably a great addition to the game. I have no idea yet. Marissa (Gervase's niece) is the last player left. I hope that she wasn't chosen simply to appease minorities. I hope that she doesn't turn into a black lady with attitude simply because that way too common a Survivor stereotype.

Now I might as well make my predictions of where each player will rank this season. This might be the only time I ever do a prediction list since it will probably be bad. This is probably very contradictory to each other. I will do a where I want them to rank, where I think they will rank, and where they should rank. Rupert: want rank- winner, should rank- finalist, will rank- juror. Gervase: want rank- juror, should rank- juror, will rank- pre-merge boot. Aras: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- juror, will rank- juror. Colton: want rank- first out, should rank- first out, will rank- juror. Tyson: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- juror, will rank- juror. Tina: want rank- juror, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- pre-merge boot. Kat: want rank- juror, should rank- juror, will rank- finalist. Laura Morett: want rank- juror, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- pre-merge boot. Candice: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- juror. Monica: want rank- juror, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- pre-merge boot. Caleb: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- pre-merge boot. Vytas: want rank- juror, should rank- juror, will rank- pre-merge boot. Laura Boneham: want rank- finalist, should rank- juror, will want- pre-merge boot. John: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- juror, will rank- pre-merge boot. Hayden: want rank- juror, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- finalist. Katie: want rank- juror, should rank- juror, will rank- pre-merge boot. Brad: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank, juror. Ciera: want rank- juror, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- pre-merge boot. Rachel: want rank- pre-merge boot, should rank- pre-merge boot, will rank- pre-merge boot. Marissa: want rank- juror, should rank- juror, will rank- pre-merge boot. I know that this list sounds confusing but I hope that you like it nonetheless.

From what I understand, the two people out of a tribe of returning players are a threat and an annoying person, normally in the opposite order. Saboga took out a threat (Tina). Chapera took out a threat (Rob C). Mogo Mogo took out an annoying person (Richard) and a threat (Ethan). Malakal took out an annoying person (Johnny Fairplay) and a threat (Yau-Man). Heroes took out an annoying person (Sugar) and a threat (Stephanie). Villains took out an annoying person (Randy) and a threat (Tyson). Bikal took out a threat (Francesca, apparently) and an annoying person (Brandon). So, if any of those are true, then there are annoying people (Colton and Kat) and there are threats (Rupert, Aras, Tina, and Tyson). But it is hard to tell how they will rank. Maybe Colton will be the first boot like I hope he will. Or maybe someone else surprising will be the first boot. Who knows? For once during a season of returning players versus new players, the new players could actually go to the first tribal council. We just know now that one from each tribe will go straight to Redemption Island, but we have no idea if they will stay there and get back in the game or if they will get eliminated permanently instead. I do wonder why if you replace a loved one on Redemption Island, they end up joining your old tribe instead of the original tribe. That makes the choice too obvious to keep your loved one in the game at the risk of your own spot in it. If they joined their original tribe, then you would have the hard choice of taking a member off of your tribe and adding one to your opponents. But I think that it will be interesting either way it goes.

So I'm not really sure what else there is to say this week. Stay tuned for more information regarding this upcoming season as well as the rest of my random blog posts before this season starts.

Survivor All Runners-up

Let's face it. A lot of people came to play Survivor and a lot of them became the runner-up. With the final three becoming common, the third place person can also be the runner-up, commonly referred to now as second runner-up. Since people can get the same number of votes at the final tribal and not win the game, people can tie for second place. In fact, second is the most common place to come in when one plays Survivor. I am not a big fan of returning players, but if they have to do it, they can always bring back contestants tied for second in a single season and have them play the game again. So far, the returning players if they did that would be Dreamz and Cassandra (Fiji), Michael and Lisa (Philippines), as well as Dawn and Sherri (Caramoan). But I will talk about all the runner-ups from every season so far and list my thoughts on whether or not they will play again.

Kelly was a strong competitor in the first season. Like many contestants afterwards, she won a lot of immunity challenges and avoided getting voted out. Her name was never written down. She had original said that she would never doing this sort of thing when she became the only runner-up or finalist for that matter, to get an exit confessional. One wonders if her mind has ever changed yet if they even bothered to ask her back. She is the only final four member of Borneo to not return to another season. The next runner-up was Colby, who I imagine would probably come back, although he's not as great as he once was. The next runner-up is the only person in Survivor: Africa's final four who never returned for another season. I like that season a lot, but from what I understand, every player from that season who they wanted to return already has. So I'm not sure that Kim Johnson would be the best returning player, although I don't know why she'd refuse a chance to return either. The next runner-up was Neleh who was supposedly cut from All-Stars. I'm pretty sure she could be a great player again. The next runner-up was Clay from one of the most well hated seasons of Survivor. I don't know if he'd ever return or not, but I'd say probably not because of that reason. Matthew was the first runner-up to receive only one vote from the jury. He might play again and he might not. I don't know. The next runner-up is Lillian. She is the only runner-up or even finalist for that matter to play less than 39 days. I think that she should return, although many people didn't like her that much. (Just because you don't like a player doesn't mean that you think they shouldn't return. I don't like Colton, but a medically evacuated player always deserves a second chance in my opinion.) But I think that if they'd ask her back, then she'd come back. The next runner-up is a bit hard to classify. He's played four times and won the game once. I'd have to say that Boston Rob wouldn't be a good player for this type of season in my mind.

The ninth season had Twila as a runner-up. She was cut from Heroes versus Villains for reasons unknown (did they not know which tribe to put her on?) so I'd say that means she has a good chance of coming back provided she still wants to come back. I heard she was also cut from Micronesia as well. The next runner-up was Katie who was pretty much a goat brought to the end for someone else to win in the minds of many. She might have been asked back, but she still hasn't returned. I heard that she got a horrible sickness due to her time on Survivor, but she is still alive and well to my knowledge if she wanted to return. The next runner-up was Stephenie, and I'd imagine she'd come back if she were able to. The next runner-up was Danielle and she's already returned once so she might appear again.

This comes the point where the runner-ups change in a way. There are now two for every season except two. Only one of the second runner-ups got a jury vote to win because the other two are tied for second runner-up with one jury vote each. But let's start with Becky. Becky was the first finalist to receive no jury votes as well as the first third place person to be a finalist. She, like all finalists with no jury votes, might have some resentment regarding the game and might not want to return because if it, but I have the feeling that she could just like anyone else. Ozzy is the more notable player and could have won the game if it had seven members and he still got four jury votes. But regardless of the fact that he said he wouldn't play after South Pacific, I'd imagine he could come back to prove that he is still a dominate player. I mean, he could have won South Pacific if he was better at the final immunity challenge. The next two people are the show's first ever tied runner-ups. They both got zero jury votes because they were well hated by every player on the jury. Dreamz made an infamous deal which is probably why the car challenge no longer appears. Cassandra was pretty much forgettable so I'm not sure if she'll reappear either. And yet, I keep suggesting them in this blog for some odd reason. The next runner-up was Amanda who would probably reappear as she is one of the best players and first to get to day 39 twice. I also think that Courtney would return as any returning player once could return again.

As I stated before Amanda would probably return to play again. The next season had Sugar who is the only finalist with no votes against her and no votes to win. I think it is just as likely that she will return as it is that she will never return. Susie was a pretty annoying finalist, but that doesn't mean she won't return. Stephen is really into the show and despite being the only runner-up in a final two to get no jury votes, I'll imagine he could come back.

Mick could have done better in Samoa and I see no reason why he wouldn't return. Russell is the only two time runner-up who didn't receive jury votes to win both times. He has quite possibly the worst social game of any player, or at least any player who made it far. His family is supposedly banned from CBS, but I'm not sure if I believe that for sure. I think that he won't return regardless. And while Parvati may be a runner-up, like I said with Boston Rob, since she is also a winner, it doesn't seem fair to include her. Sash cause an unaired and mostly unknown controversy, so he won't be back any time soon. Chase is probably too busy with his music career to return to play Survivor. Natalie was more of a coattail rider, but she could still return to the game. Phillip is always entertaining and definitely should return and probably will if given the chance. Albert could return even though he didn't do much. Coach is probably eagerly waiting yet another chance at the game. Chelsea was pretty blah when it came to being a contestant and Sabrina was pretty much the same way. But once again, I'm not certain that would prevent them from playing again. Lisa and Michael were great players and both should totally play again. Sherri was a goat and Dawn should have gotten some votes, but didn't.

So I will now mention all of the people who become runners-up and the chances that they return for a season like this. Kelly- probably no, Colby- yes, Kim J- maybe, Neleh- yes, Clay- no, Matthew- yes, Lillian- maybe, Boston Rob- no, Twila- yes, Katie- probably yes, Stephenie- yes, Danielle- yes, Becky- maybe, Ozzy- yes, Dreamz- probably no, Cassandra- probably no, Amanda- yes, Courtney- yes, Sugar- probably yes, Susie- maybe, Stephen- yes, Mick- yes, Russell- probably no, Parvati- no, Sash- probably no, Chase- no, Natalie- maybe, Phillip- yes, Albert- maybe, Coach- yes, Chelsea- maybe, Sabrina- maybe, Lisa- yes, Michael- yes, Sherri- no, Dawn- yes.

There needs to be at least eight men returning for the season for it to work and they are Colby, Matthew, Ozzy, Stephen, Mick, Phillip, Coach, and Michael. The eight women who would return are Neleh, Twila, Stephenie, Danielle, Amanda, Courtney, Lisa, and Dawn. (I'm excluding Katie and Sugar simply because there are already enough without them).

I hope that you enjoyed this blog post. I am nearing the end of these random blog posts for the moment. I mean, the 28th season finished filming soon (I think) and the 27th will start airing soon. When it does, I'll go back to more regular blog posts. I'm still hoping there will be a blog post about a cast assessment of the season and possibly a post about Survivor contestants playing Big Brother because there is a rumor of a Big Brother winner being on the upcoming season of Survivor.

Jennifer Lyon on Survivor Palau

I know that I promised to do a list of the runner-ups of Survivor and the chances that they play again. Don't worry. That will come. You see, I also promised almost a year ago (I think) to post about how Jennifer Lyon affected the game of Survivor: Palau. I have done a long list of every episode she was in (which was every episode) and this is what happened as a result. For this I have created a drinking game. Now I'm going to offer this disclaimer about the drinking game: Always play drinking games at your own risk. Do not play drinking games if you are under 21, plan to drive soon, or are pregnant. If you willing choose to play this drinking game I take no responsibility for any personal harm or injury that may occur to you by playing it or any games like it. You do not have to play the game and you don't have to play it correctly (I didn't). If you are unsure of how drinking games will affect you, please don't play. It is not required that you play this game. I also included the number of shots that I took as a fair warning about the game. So without further ado, here's post about Jenn and the game along with it.

Episode 1: This Has Never Happened Before!

I decided to play a drinking game of some sort while writing this. Depending on how much Jenn is seen depends on how much that I drink. I'll let you know if it is good or bad. Finally. I've been 21 for almost a whole year now and I'm finally drinking. I'll be sure to tell you how many shots I've taken at the end. She isn't focused upon at all on day one. Gregg chose Jenn to be on the tribe, which is interesting since they develop a showmance. She think picks Coby to be on the tribe. After being mentioned once during the challenge, she isn't seen again for the rest of the episode. For this episode, the drinking game doesn't work that well. But on the plus side, at least I'm not drunk. Remember, drink every time her name is mentioned or she gets a confessional. Shots taken: 4

Episode 2: Love is in the Air, Rats are Everywhere

Will Jenn be featured more in this episode? I hope so. Or maybe I don't because I don't want to get horribly drunk. Jenn was mentioned four times at the reward challenge. I might have missed it the first time she might have been mentioned in the challenge. Once again, Jenn isn't focused on that much. Shots taken: 5

Episode 3: Dangerous Creatures and Horrible Setbacks

So I'm going to watch this to see if there's more of Jenn. Jenn was mentioned five times in the reward challenge when she faced off against Stephanie and lost. She was also mentioned while Koror was hunting snakes and sharks, the dangerous creatures mentioned in the episode. Jenn sat out of the immunity challenge along with Janu. Since Koror won immunity, she isn't focused on again. She has yet to have a confessional. Shot taken: 9

Episode 4: Sumo at Sea

Jenn gets her first confessional in this episode in regard to the cryptic representative in the treemail that both tribes got. Jenn sat out of the reward challenge. Maybe that means we'll see her more in the immunity challenge. Jenn once again fought against Stephanie in the challenge. Once again she lost, this time at a different challenge. She lost again the next time. This drinking game is much better due to this challenge. I lost track of what the right number of shots is. I feel like I should have taken more than I did. Jenn has a total of one confessional thus far. But it looks like we'll see her in the next episode when her showmance with Greg develops. Shots taken: 14?

Episode 5: The Best and Worst Reward Ever

Jenn is mentioned once on previously on Survivor, but is not seen that much in it. Her showmance with Gregg starts in this episode. To my knowledge, it only lasted on the island and never existed outside the show. That's when she's seen again. She participates in the challenge and is seen more in it. Before Koror goes to tribal council, Gregg talks about his alliance with her. She is also mentioned more at tribal council itself, although they edited out that part where she talks, if she did. She joined the majority of the tribe in voting out Willard. Everyone except him voted him out. I'm not sure how this affects the shots to drink or not. She helps vote for immunity, but it's unknown who voted for who. Shots taken: 15

Episode 6: Jellyfish N' Chips

Jenn is mentioned twice in the previously on Survivor. I might have missed a shot here. She gets her second confessional in this episode. Jenn sits out of the reward challenge. Jenn has to do the immunity challenge like everyone on the Koror tribe who sat out the reward challenge. They will experience something unheard of before or since starting in the next episode and we might not see Jenn in a challenge until the individual phase of the game. She had only one confessional this episode and has two altogether. If I had to guess, that would be the least amount for anyone left right now in the game and only the three people out in the first episode might have had less. Shots taken: 6

Episode 7: The Great White Shark Hunter

Will we see little of Jenn again? I don't know. I think that David and Jeff of the podcast link that I posted in this blog should have included her on the list of reality show one hit wonders (look it up if you don't know what it is), but I understand why they didn't. They could always change the list with the next update, if there is one. Jenn did not participate in the reward challenge. Since Koror has over twice as many members as Ulong (a Survivor first that never happened again, unless you count the 25th season before the dissolve of Matsing) it's possible that we won't see her in the immunity challenge. Jenn is mentioned more at Koror during the talk of her tribe mates about her showmance with Gregg. She gets a confessional because of it during the episode. Jenn does actually participate in the immunity challenge along with Janu. Coby is the caller for their tribe. Once again, despite participating in the challenge, Jenn isn't mentioned that much. Her showmance is in danger, but it will take awhile before the threat of the couple is taken out. So Jenn gets one confessional in this episode and has three overall. Hopefully, we'll see more of her soon. Shots taken: 6

Episode 8: Neanderthal Man

Jenn is mentioned twice during the previously on Survivor. Since I skipped the opening credits this time, I'm taking one less shot than I should have. Hopefully, she doesn't come up that much since my mother says I can't get another wine cooler. I guess I'll have to put as little as possible in the shot glass so I don't have to break the rules of the game. Jenn is not in the reward challenge and I don't think that she's in the immunity challenge either. Jenn gets at least one confessional today it is split into three parts, I think. Otherwise, it was three confessionals, which I don't think that it was. She is mentioned more at her tribe. I'm going to say that I took shots when I didn't actually. We should be seeing a lot more of her sooner. Shots taken: 10

Episode 9: I Will Not Give Up

So Ulong is no more after this episode and Koror becomes the only premerge tribe to last until day 39. This becomes the only season to have only two tribes. Jenn gets another confessional in this episode and one wonders if she somehow inadvertently became what Stephenie was considered to be. Stephenie had a final four alliance with Ian, Katie, and Tom. Those last three people became the final three. Jenn did have a rivalry with Stephenie, so I guess it seems fair. She is mentioned a lot of camp by Coby as well as other people. I have no idea how many shots I took, so I'm going to guess today. Jenn is mentioned at least once in the challenge. She drops out of it for chocolate chip cookies and milk. She is also mentioned some at tribal council. Jenn joined the majority of the tribe in voting out the complainer known as Coby. Shots taken: 14?

Episode 10: Exile Island

This is one of the more unusual episodes of Survivor. Jenn is mentioned three times in the previously on Survivor segment. Jenn is put on a team with Katie, Stephenie, and Ian for the reward challenge. Her team would end up losing the reward. What happened back at camp? We don't know. They didn't show us the tribal dynamics like they typically do. The immunity challenge was actually fought for no reason due to what happened at tribal. Tom still got a win out of this challenge and he became the first person to tie Colby's record of most immunity wins. Jenn is the fourth person out of the challenge. She is being mentioned a lot this episode. I didn't take shots that I should have. I have no idea what the true number is. There is no vote in the episode because somebody named Janu quit instead before a vote was held. I drank two bottles of alcohol this episode. Shots taken: 20?

Episode 11: I'll Show You How Threatening I Am

In contrast to recent episodes, Jenn is not mentioned in the previously on Survivor segment. The reward challenge was the Survivor Auction. She spent $120 for a sundae. She and Caryn tried to bid for an item that Gregg and Ian ended up getting instead. Jenn got a confessional today that wasn't very long, but I didn't notice if she got a letter from home or not. Jenn didn't win the immunity challenge. Jenn joined the majority of her tribe in voting out Stephenie. She now has a total of six confessionals throughout this season. If you know of a contestant who made it this far and did worse in the confessional count, please let me know. She still has yet to have more than one in a single episode and that's strange, I think. Shots taken: 19

Episode 12: We'll Make You Pay

If I'm correct, we'll be seeing a lot more of Jenn in this episode. Then again, I'm frequently wrong sometimes, aren't I? In the reward challenge, Jenn got the first question right and chose to take out Caryn. So did two other people. Jenn got the second question wrong. She got the third question right. Tom chose to take out Jenn and Jenn chose to take out Tom. Tom is out of the challenge. Jenn is the only person who got the fourth question wrong. Jenn gets the fifth question right and chose to take out Katie. She got the sixth and final question wrong and thus lost the challenge to Gregg. But Gregg in turn took her on the reward. Jenn gets a confessional when her loved one shows up at the reward. As always, I lost track of the proper shot count. If you play the game I'm playing when you watch this, please let me know what the real count is, in case you haven't lost track yourself. Jenn gets a second confessional in this episode, I think. They do a second chances challenge for immunity based on the challenges used before this season. Jenn passes the first leg of the immunity challenge. Jenn passed the second leg of the challenge as the last person to successfully complete it. Jenn passed the third leg of the challenge as well. Jenn does not pass the fourth leg of the immunity challenge and is eliminated from it. Unfortunately for Jenn, Gregg showed his cards to the other players when he picked people to go on the reward and thus cost himself the game. Jenn voted in the minority for Caryn while everyone else voted her ally Gregg out of the game. Thus ends Jenn's showmance with Gregg ends in this episode, I think. I'm pretty sure it only lasted on the island. She now has eight confessionals this season. Shots taken: 25?

Episode 13: It Could All Backfire

Jenn is mentioned a lot on the previously on Survivor segment. Jenn gets a confessional that starts the episode. That makes it the first time that one of her confessionals starts the episode. Jenn is mentioned a lot in the reward challenge. While she didn't win the reward, she did better than all the other women and was more or less third place. Jenn gets a second confessional in this episode when all the women were left after the reward challenge and tribal politics happened as usual. For some odd reason, the all women alliance would never happen. Jenn does pretty well at the immunity challenge, but does not ultimately win. The tribal council was very interesting. Jenn joined the tribe in unanimously voting out Caryn who pretty much sealed her fate in the game by telling everyone about the alliances and secret activities in the game. Jenn is doing well in the game so far, but what could happen in the next episode? We'll see what changes that. She has ten confessionals so far this season and any more will be in the next episode. Episode 14: The Ultimate Shock

I have the feeling that I will either have a lot of shots this episode or not that many due to Jenn's placement in the game. She gets a confessional in this episode before the immunity challenge. Jenn put up a good competition at the immunity challenge, but ultimately was eliminated when she came in more or less third place at the first phrase and thus couldn't compete in the second phrase. At the tribal council, there was the possibility of a tie. Before the later than usual tribal council, Ian started his demise and Jenn did whatever she could to avoid otherwise certain elimination. Jenn and Tom voted against Ian while Ian and Katie voted against Jenn. These were the only votes she received during the whole entire game. She received one additional tie-breaker vote. They never do revotes at the final four anymore. Anyways, Jenn would lose the challenge and go to the jury because of it. This is the last we see of Jenn until the final tribal. I took 46 shots up to this point of the game.

Jenn is mentioned more after she is voted out when the rest of the members confront Ian over his flip-flopping ways. Jenn has a total of twelve confessionals during the entire game. Thirteen if you count the exit confessional and I'm not sure if she gets a single voting confessional. I guess they weren't considered that great. I'm still hoping that a special DVD of her will be released at some point, but who knows whether that will happen or not. I'm thinking of editing her wikipedia page, but you won't see the edits in this blog if you see them at all. Jenn, of course, is seen at the rites of passage.

At the final tribal council, Jenn returns as a jury member. Jenn wasn't sure that Tom respected her game. Jenn wondered if Katie "played strong or like a doormat." Jenn doesn't like Katie's way of playing the game and probably had more liking for Tom since he never voted against her. So Jenn would end up voting for Tom to win the game. Shots taken: 52

Episode 15: Palau Reunion Show

You might be wonder how I stay sober with this drinking game. Well, unless the Strawberry Daiquiri wine cooler gives me a hangover without getting me drunk, this isn't going to happen. You see, I cheat at this game. I don't take a lot of shots when I should and I barely fill the drink up that much a lot of the time. Whether you play this game right or not (please don't. I don't want to kill people because of this blog) just keep in mind that I didn't and I'm the only one who played it. I'm also alive and well to post this blog update. Anyways, I will talk about Jenn's influence at the reunion show. Caryn was the first to bring up Jenn. She was mentioned in one of the clips that brought us back to the episode. According to Jenn, their showmance, as I thought, only lasted on the island and they remained friends for a while later. So she wasn't mentioned that much and we'll never see her again. But I hope that you like this bit of writing regardless of your opinions on Jenn. I spent a long time doing it. Shots taken: 5

Survivor All Winners

Some people have talked about doing this for quite some time. I don't know if it is the most requested season they've never done or not. I don't know if they ever will do it. I mean, a lot of people don't like winners playing again. But, I figure that if they ever did do that, I should do a prediction list of who would actually return or not. Also, I'm running out of ideas for blog posts, so if you want me doing something random until the next season premieres or nothing in the blogosphere at all, please let me know. I'm wondering if next season I should do a fan fiction series of a Survivor season that I'd like to see. I'd make up all the new characters, although I'd probably have to include some returning players as well to keep things interesting. And, of course, I can only do that if I don't wind up with another Survivor season on DVD due to the unfortunate death of a contestant from that season. (I know that's a gruesome reason for wanting a season, but I can't think of actually wanting an old one back for any other reason). In fact, I will probably post special information about Jennifer Lyon at some point when I finish the tenth season again. But since I haven't finished yet, I will do this random blog post. Expect all runner-ups and last voted out sometime soon. I would do a list of the ten best twists Survivor had done, but I can't think of that yet. And I should have included day 37 reward challenges on the list of worst twists.

The very first winner in this country's version of Survivor was Richard. He is one of the most outspoken characters in the show's history. You see, I don't fully understand why he was put in jail. Was it something that he knew he should do that he didn't or if it was something he didn't fully understand that was breaking the law, I don't know. I've already asked lawyers about this. If you commit a crime that you don't know is a crime, you will probably still be charged with it because ignorance is no excuse. Anyways, if Richard can play again, he will play again. There's no question about that. If he can't leave the country, we won't see him again. But I'm sure he'll come back if he could. Tina was the winner of the second season. I firmly believe that she could return as well, especially considering the rumored cast for season 27. Ethan is a bit of a grey area. I mean, his cancer is in remission right now, but could it stay that way when they decide to do this season? He'd probably return, but I don't know for sure. Vescepia won the fourth season. After that, she pretty much disappeared off the face of the earth. Well, not in reality. We just don't know what happened to most of her and she is definitely one of the more obscure winners. So the only reason she might not return is because she likes her private life after the game ended. The fifth season had Brian as the winner. A lot of the people who do the show don't really want him back and don't feel that he deserves to be back. So I doubt we'll see him back, although that could end up happening. The sixth season had Jenna. Once again, we get into a complicated situation. The second time she played, she ended up quitting. She thus became the only returning player to never go to tribal council the second time. She probably had the best reason for quitting than any other player (unless you count someone like Dana as a quitter) so it's just as likely that we'll see her back as it is that we'll never see her back. If they do ever bring her back, they will set a precedent than any quitter can be asked back a second time, although one wouldn't think that they would typically do that in the first place. She mentioned on twitter how she is more of a Big Brother fan now than Survivor. If she isn't into this show much anymore, than we probably won't see her. The next season's winner was Sandra. She played twice and won twice. She is considered one of the best Survivor players ever. She probably would want to return for the potential of being three for three. The winner of the first all returning player season was Amber. She is probably way to busy with being a parent to return and probably wouldn't want to anyways. I have the feeling that that family is done with reality TV for the moment. Let's face it, it would be a long while until any of the kids have the chance to play Survivor, although we could possibly see them on another show. Is Endurance still on?

We now come to the next group of seasons. Let's say that there are six women on a tribe and you are the only guy left. The season started as battle of the sexes and the last four people voted out of the game were all men. Surely, you'd think you'd be voted out, right? Surely there won't suddenly be other targets that get eliminated before you, right? Surely you won't somehow manage to get to the final two and win the game, right? WRONG! Chris, one of my favorite winners ever, was also highly unlikely to win. He proved a lot of people wrong when he did win, despite the odds against him. How did he do it? Well, you'd have to see the season again to know for sure. He deserves to come back, but we haven't seen him back for reasons unknown. The tenth season brought us Tom who proved a great leader of the Koror tribe and managed to avoid getting voted out the few times it was even an option. Although he wasn't sure at first that he'd want to come back, he did end up coming back. I'd imagine that he could return again, provided that he got time off of work and still wanted to. Danni won the eleventh season. Since she said she'd only return to do an all winners season, then she'd definitely be a yes for this. The twelfth season was won by Aras. Once again, based on potential spoilers for next season (Blood versus Water) we might see him again in a season like this. The thirteenth was won by Yul. Even though he's doing shows for PBS, I still believe that he could and would return again should the opportunity arises. I mean, he was cut from Micronesia. The fourteenth brought us Earl, the first person to win unanimously. Although some may not recognize him, I'd have to say he'd probably return again. The fifteenth had Todd as the winner. Once again, he might be an obscure winner to some, but I'd bring him back. The next winner was Parvati Shallow. Who could forget someone like her? Well, some may think that she's played too much and she might be done playing the game and onto other more important things like hosting the Survivor Live After Show (which I'm not certain she's doing if they bring it back). But, for the most part, I'd think that she'd return if they let her and I don't know why they wouldn't let her. The winner of the seventeenth season was Bob. He might be too busy teaching and he is the oldest winner ever so he might not return, but, then again, I have no idea why he wouldn't return. JT won the eighteenth season and he has perfect game to defend after the blunder he did when doing the game a second time. Natalie was a great winner in my humble opinion, so I think that she'd return if they wanted her to. And as I already said before, Sandra would probably return to try to win a third time.

So the next winner only won the game by one vote. But what makes his interesting is that two quitters were on the jury and they both voted for him to win. So that would mean Fabio has a win to defend if he ever played again. Boston Rob won the next season and he's probably done playing the game. A lot of people don't like him, but I'm not one of them. I'm not crazily found of him either. I just know that the season he won wasn't rigged for him to win like many people think. That would be illegal. Regardless, he's played the game enough times and probably won't play again. The next season had Sophie and she wasn't as interesting a winner, but that doesn't mean she won't be back. The next season was won by Kim. She'd be great if she could return. The twenty-fifth season had an interesting winner in Denise. She was the first contestant to be present for the elimination of every contestant in a single season as well as surviving every tribal council. She would be a good returning player in my opinion. The most recent season winner was John Cochran. He said that he wouldn't play again on the Survivor Live After Show, but I don't believe it and have the feeling that he could come back. So, I will list what could happen and who could return for an all winners season. I have the feeling that like a lot of these seasons I'm suggesting today and the next two blog posts, that it could only be sixteen contestants, eight men and eight women. I have no idea if I have enough, but we will soon find out.

Here's the winners. I will give a yes, no, maybe, or something like that on whether or not they will return. Richard- maybe, Tina- yes, Ethan- maybe, Vescepia- maybe not, Brian- no, Jenna- maybe, Sandra- yes, Amber- maybe not, Chris- yes, Tom- yes, Danni- yes, Aras- yes, Yul- yes, Earl- yes, Todd- yes, Parvati- yes, Bob- maybe, JT- yes, Natalie- yes, repeat- not included again, Fabio- yes, Boston Rob- no, Sophie- yes, Kim- yes, Denise- yes, John Cochran- maybe. Luckily, since I changed two maybes into yeses, I have eight men and eight women. Who knows if they'll ever do this season. A lot of people don't want winners back, but if they ever do, those are my picks.
